Muhammed Thufail

Head of Data

Muhammed Thufail heads the data and technology desk at the Policy and Research Initiative (PRI). A quantitative economist and data scientist, he drives PRI’s computational infrastructure, geo-spacial analytics, and socio-economic research frameworks to support data-backed decision-making for policymakers and civil society leaders. He holds an M.A. in Economics (Gold Medal), is a UGC Junior Research Fellow, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Hyderabad with a focus on econometric modeling and machine learning applications. His expertise spans predictive analytics, demographic data extraction, time series econometrics, and policy intelligence.
